Description
The Town of West Warwick is soliciting construction bids for capital improvements to its regional wastewater treatment facility under Contract No. 2027-03. The work includes demolition and replacement of the existing UV and emergency disinfection systems; installation of new UV disinfection equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems, and SCADA control panels; replacement of the grit collection system and related controls; painting of the lime silo; and associated structural, HVAC, plumbing, piping, valves, flood protection, and site work. The project requires triplicate sealed bids, bid security equal to 5 percent of the total bid, compliance with prevailing-wage and Davis-Bacon requirements, and compliance with Build America, Buy America requirements unless an approved waiver applies. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price, and required insurance after award. The work must be completed within 540 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Required bid materials include the Bid Proposal, Supplements to Bid Form, subcontractor and bidder qualifications, onsite construction supervisor qualifications, bid security, and the debarment and suspension certification.
