Description
San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance training for its K9 unit twice monthly, with each session lasting five hours. Training will cover obedience, searching, detection, handler tactics, scenario-based exercises, decision-making under stress, and debriefs, supporting compliance with P.O.S.T. standards and annual qualifications. The contractor will also provide dual-purpose and single-purpose dogs during the two-year agreement. The solicitation identifies two immediate vacancies and allows for possible additional purchases. Pricing must include a per-handler/dog-team monthly training cost and pricing for dual-purpose dogs. Proposals must address minimum qualifications, project approach, firm qualifications, similar projects, references, and pricing.
