Description
The City of Detroit is soliciting quotes for 3,000 pepper spray canisters for its Police Department. Canisters must be 4 inches high by 1.38 inches in diameter to fit existing carriers, contain oleoresin capsicum and CS gas, be non-flammable and compatible with electronic immobilization devices, have a flip-top safety, and provide a five-year shelf life. The specified product is SABRE Model 53H2010 or an equivalent; bidders offering an equivalent must identify the brand and catalog number, note deviations, and provide descriptive literature showing dimensions and features. The contract is a one-year blanket purchase agreement. Quotes must include firm, all-inclusive unit pricing. The respondent questionnaire requests at least three relevant experiences from the last five years, including reference details. The RFQ also requires descriptive product literature and completed affidavits and financial documents with the application. The solicitation's bond provisions are identified as applying to construction and do not appear applicable to this goods purchase.
