Dyer County School System is updating its Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan as required by the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act's ESSER 3.0 Fund. The plan addresses health and safety strategies including cleaning and maintaining healthy facilities with improved ventilation (installation of air scrubbers and new HVAC systems), hand washing and respiratory etiquette, diagnostic and screening testing using Quidel QuickVue Antigen tests, contact tracing and isolation protocols, vaccination efforts, and universal masking recommendations. The district also ensures continuity of services for students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs through in-person learning, remote learning for quarantined students, and school counselor support.
