Description
The City of Jackson, Tennessee, is requesting proposals from qualified management operators to run the Fairgrounds Flea Market for a minimum of 10 events per calendar year, held on the first weekend of each month. The operator will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating vendors, managing booth layouts and vendor check-in, providing customer service, promoting events, maintaining consistent operating hours, and enforcing venue rules and city policies. The City will provide fairgrounds maintenance staff, event security at vendor expense, dumpsters, concession operations, and reasonable electrical support. Vendors must manage their own trash, and alcohol sales or consumption are prohibited unless approved by the City Beer Board; live-animal sales are prohibited. Proposals will be evaluated on experience, operational and logistics planning, responsiveness, and marketing and vendor-recruitment strategy. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals.
