Description
The City of Galena is soliciting bids for the 2026 Street & Sidewalk Improvements project, located at Hill Street and North Commerce Street. This project includes the removal and replacement of existing sidewalks, installation of new curb and gutter, and construction of associated storm sewer improvements, including drainage structures and piping. The scope of work involves various aspects of street and sidewalk repair and construction. This includes mobilization, seeding, mulching, fertilizing, topsoil work, removal and replacement of existing pavement, curb and gutter, and sidewalks. Specific tasks also include driveway replacement, installation of ADA tactile panels, and storm sewer work such as pipe removal and installation, manholes, and riprap. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Drug-Free Workplace Act. Bid security in the form of a bank draft, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond for 10 percent of the total bid amount is required. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements.
