Description
The U.S. Department of State's Office of Language Services intends to establish approximately 850 Blanket Purchase Agreements with qualified individual foreign-language translators, interpreters, and specialists. Services include interpreting, translating, conference reporting, related language support, and escort services in support of diplomatic and foreign affairs activities. Qualified individuals must have passed the Office of Language Services' applicable interpreting or translating examinations and previously provided language services under an Office BPA or purchase order. They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, maintain active SAM contractor profiles, accept the Office's fixed rates, obtain and maintain a Moderate or High-risk Public Trust Certification, and perform the work without subcontracting. There is no guarantee of assignments. Individual calls may not exceed $25,000, individual BPA call values may not exceed $350,000, and the anticipated combined annual value of calls across all BPAs is $20 million to $30 million.
