Description
The Ute Indian Tribe is soliciting unit-price bids for construction of the BIA Tank Water Main, project PH22-W21, RN 09-26. The work includes approximately 1,809 linear feet of new 8-inch C900 PVC water main; interconnections to existing 6-inch PVC and asbestos-cement mains; 6-inch and 8-inch gate valves; a combination air-release and vacuum-valve vault; exploratory utility locating; ledge-rock excavation; and a bored crossing beneath 7500 East using a steel casing. The roadway crossing quantity was revised from 25 to 35 linear feet by Addendum No. 1, and the contractor must obtain the required Uintah County encroachment permit and submit an acceptable traffic-control plan. The project requires substantial completion within 240 calendar days and final completion within 270 calendar days after contract times commence. Bids must include a 5% bid bond, proposed subcontractor and supplier lists, qualification and licensing information, required UTERO documentation, and acknowledgment of Addendum No. 1. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, required insurance, and comply with Indian preference, UTERO, federal labor, environmental, historic-preservation, OSHA, and Davis-Bacon requirements. The bid schedule includes a 2% TERO fee, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with consideration of Indian preference.
