Description
The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting market research for a potential remedial action contract. The anticipated work includes excavating approximately 3,768 tons of soil contaminated with lead and PCBs across an approximately 3.2-acre area, then arranging compliant storage, transportation, and offsite disposal. Backfilling and confirmation sampling are not required; waste-characterization sampling may be needed to meet the receiving facility’s requirements. The anticipated scope also includes decommissioning and removing five shallow groundwater monitoring wells, identifying buried utilities, using GIS to establish excavation-area coordinates to one-foot horizontal accuracy, obtaining required permits and permissions, and providing pre- and post-project documentation. Interested small businesses are asked to submit a capability statement and company, contact, UEI, and relevant-project information. Responses are limited to five pages and should be marked proprietary as applicable.
