Description
The Hawaii National Guard intends to award a single firm-fixed-price contract for concurrent construction of a new approximately 2,400-square-foot munitions maintenance and inspection facility and an approximately 1,320-square-foot addition to an existing conventional munitions cube storage facility. The work includes micropile foundations, cast-in-place concrete, structural steel and cold-formed framing, insulated metal wall panels, standing-seam metal roofing, asphalt pavement, HVAC and plumbing, communications infrastructure, lightning and grounding protection, fire alarm and mass notification systems, and wet-pipe sprinkler suppression. A concrete Material Assembly Center pad and related access pavement are included as an option. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and temporary security fencing required for the work. Escort personnel will be required for specified activities outside the secured work zone and for utility connections. RAB Lighting exterior wall packs and area lights are identified as sole-source brand-name items for compatibility with existing systems. The estimated construction magnitude is $10 million to $25 million, and the two projects have stated durations of 733 and 456 calendar days after notice to proceed, respectively. Evaluation factors are technical capability, past performance, and price; the Government intends to award without discussions.
