Description
The City seeks a contractor to remove and replace approximately 400 linear feet of existing cast-iron sanitary waste and vent piping in the basement of its wastewater treatment plant. Work includes replacing designated 2-, 3-, and 4-inch piping with Schedule 40 PVC; making cast-iron-to-PVC stack transitions; installing or reusing supports, hangers, fittings, and cleanouts; testing the completed system; and restoring affected surfaces. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, permits, disposal, access equipment, rigging, safety measures, and other incidentals, and must maintain unaffected systems during the work. Bids must include a lump-sum price, a bid guarantee equal to 10% of the bid, a Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit, at least three similar-work references, and an Iran Divestment Act compliance form. The selected contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material bonds, insurance, and other post-award requirements. Work must be completed within 90 days after commencement; the contract remains in effect through June 30, 2027.
