Description
The Road Commission seeks bids for delivering and spreading its furnished natural aggregate at township road projects and designated stockpiles. Contractors must provide sufficient trucks to place at least 3,000 tons per day, spread material uniformly by tailgate with spread chains, and provide five-part weight tickets for each project. The Commission will provide project locations, quantities, and work schedules before work begins; quantities and schedules may be revised. Bidders must price work from either of two specified starting locations and provide per-ton rates by haul-distance band. The work is to be completed by October 1, 2027. The proposal requires the attached bidder information sheet and summary of experience for eligibility, except that contractors with at least two years of experience with the Road Commission may omit them. The solicitation also specifies insurance requirements, including general liability or an owner’s protective liability alternative and automobile liability.
