Description
The St. Clair County Road Commission seeks a contractor to deliver and spread road-commission-furnished limestone aggregate at township road projects and designated stockpiles during calendar year 2027. Work includes uniformly placing aggregate by tailgate with spread chains, supplying enough trucks to place at least 3,000 tons per day, and providing separate weight tickets for each project. The contractor is responsible for obtaining approval of continuous daily haul routes and for the Harsens Island ferry cost. The Commission will provide project locations, quantities, and work schedules before work begins; quantities and schedules may be revised. Bidders must submit prices for the listed locations and stockpiles under two supply-price alternatives, plus delivery-and-spreading rates by distance band. The proposal requires a completed Bidder Information Sheet and Summary of Experience unless the bidder has at least two years of experience with the Road Commission. The work must be completed by October 1, 2027. The contract may be extended by mutual agreement for one or two years, up to two additional years.
