Description
Allegan County seeks a contractor to collect consumer electronics from permanent collection sites and special events, transport them to a recycling and reuse facility, and recycle them in accordance with R2v3 standards. The contractor must provide an R2v3 certificate confirming that sensitive data on collected items has been wiped or otherwise made inaccessible. The scope includes supplying trucks, loading and packing equipment, and personnel to load materials; staffing is also required at certain special events. Proposals must describe the recycling facility and process, provide certifications and Michigan e-waste registration details, and confirm the ability to provide the data-wiping certificate. Pricing must cover fixed mobilization and pickup charges, additional personnel, special-event services, and per-pound recycling charges for specified device categories. The agreement term is February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2030, with possible extension by mutual written agreement. The proposal must include company information and experience, equipment and personnel details, scope responses, a signed agreement, and the completed cost proposal.
