Description
The Township of North Brunswick is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of a 5.0-million-gallon welded steel standpipe potable water storage tank. The work includes abrasive blasting and replacement of interior and exterior coating systems; repairs to tank steel, concrete, grout, fencing, and appurtenances; replacement or modification of roof and shell manholes, vents, ladders, handrails, overflow piping, obstruction lighting, and related components; and removal and temporary relocation of existing antenna equipment. The project also includes replacement of the tank's cathodic protection system, installation of a submersible mixer and controls, site restoration, environmental and cultural-resource protection, prevailing-wage compliance, and required DBE good-faith efforts. The contractor must provide qualified tank rehabilitation experience, design and installation submittals, bid security, a consent of surety, a non-collusion affidavit, qualification and equipment information, and other proposal forms. The contract time is 270 calendar days, with substantial completion required within 240 calendar days after the contract time begins.
