The Texas Military Department is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of a rooftop HVAC unit at the Challenge Academy in Eagle Lake, Texas. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the project. This includes conducting a pre-work walk-through, coordinating site access, and developing a site-specific safety plan. The work will be performed during standard business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday), with overtime possible upon prior written approval. The contractor must also ensure all subcontractors are properly licensed and permitted in Texas. The scope of work includes the removal of one Trane YCH330 HVAC Roof Top Unit, ensuring proper disconnection of electrical, gas, and thermostat lines, and recovery and disposal of refrigerant according to regulations. Following removal, the contractor will provide and install a new HVAC ground unit meeting or exceeding the specifications of the removed unit, including vacuuming and leak testing the refrigerant system, and filling it with the specified refrigerant. The new system will be tested to ensure full functionality. The contractor will be required to provide a minimum one-year parts and labor warranty, or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is longer.
