Description
Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is seeking a contractor to conduct a Livable Centers Study for the Park Row area in Harris County Precinct 4. This study aims to identify and prioritize investments in active transportation and mixed-use development infrastructure, bridging a 6-mile gap between two active transportation networks to foster pedestrian, bicycle, and transit-friendly development. The project builds upon previous planning efforts and emphasizes community involvement, particularly with disadvantaged communities, through targeted outreach and town hall meetings. The contractor will develop a comprehensive plan outlining transportation infrastructure investments, conceptual renderings, and an implementation plan, including a capital improvement program. The study area is defined as a half-mile buffer along Park Row Boulevard from Dairy Ashford Road to Mason Road in western Harris County.
