Description
The State of Utah is soliciting approximately 1,250 artificial habitat structures for young-of-year sportfish in Pineview Reservoir. The structures must provide diverse, protective cover and be comparable to the Mossback Safe Haven Kit or an equivalent product. Each structure must be no taller than 60 inches when deployed, expand to at least 9 feet in width, contain at least 50 individual habitat elements, weigh approximately 60 pounds when assembled, require minimal assembly, and use textured, recycled, decay-resistant limb material suitable for algae growth. The limbs must be generally horizontal, snag-resistant, and arranged in a V shape to collect sediment and encourage macrophyte growth. The contractor must be able to place the structures during winter or after ice-off during winter 2026 and 2027. The work includes placing the structures throughout Pineview Reservoir, with coordination involving relevant water companies, the Bureau of Reclamation, State Parks, the United States Forest Service, and surrounding landowners. The solicitation anticipates a single award to the lowest-cost responsive and responsible vendor, with pricing guaranteed for the entire project.
