Description
Ogden City Arts is accepting submissions from artists who currently reside in Utah for the “Words/Inspired by Books” Community Art Show. Original works in any medium may interpret literature, poetry, song lyrics, journals, books, literary characters or settings, typography, calligraphy, or the physical form of books. Reproductions are not eligible; works must have been completed within the past two years, be suitable for public viewing, and be ready for exhibition. Artists may submit up to two entries, with a maximum surface size of 36 by 36 inches. Three-dimensional works must be stable, and hanging works must be mounted, matted, framed, or otherwise exhibition-ready with a wire hanging system installed. Submissions are made through the online application process, with a short artist statement required for each entry. Jury-selected works will be displayed at Ogden’s Historic Union Station, and selected artists will be responsible for delivering and retrieving their work within the directed timelines. Prizes or artist honorariums will be awarded to selected artworks. The submission deadline is October 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.; the exhibition is scheduled to open November 20, 2026, and end February 26, 2027, subject to change.
