The Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission is soliciting bids for the replacement of the office roof at the Bolton Point Water Treatment Plant located at 1402 East Shore Drive, Ithaca, NY. The project involves removing and replacing approximately 7,100 square feet of EPDM roofing, comprising two areas: Area 1 (3,700 SF) with a fully adhered EPDM membrane and Area 2 (3,400 SF) with a ballasted EPDM membrane. The work includes removing existing roofing materials, installing additional 1.5-inch polyisocyanurate insulation, installing new 60-mil EPDM membranes (fully adhered for Area 1 and ballasted for Area 2), replacing flashings, terminations, perimeter metal, and wood blocking, and installing a powder-coated OSHA-compliant guardrail for a roof hatch. The contractor must also provide a manufacturer's 20-year total system warranty, handle daily cleanup and disposal of waste, and comply with prevailing wage requirements. As-needed unit costs are requested for items such as replacing tapered insulation crickets, insulation, gravel asphalt BUR, retro-fitting roof drains, and replacing wood blocking. Bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion certificate and proof of insurance as per the Town of Ithaca's requirements.
