Description
The New York City Department of Transportation is conducting market research for a potential Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Program funded by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. The potential program would provide financial assistance for eligible private or public truck-charging infrastructure associated with fleets adopting battery-electric vehicles, including depot charging and supporting electrical infrastructure. The program would focus on the Bathgate, Eastchester, and Zerega Industrial Business Zones within three Bronx mitigation communities and complement the New York City Clean Trucks Program. The RFI seeks responses from fleet operators, property owners, electric vehicle supply equipment providers and operators, and other community stakeholders. Respondents are asked to address their experience, fleet or facility characteristics, charging needs, installation barriers, electrical capacity, financing and partnership preferences, potential charging-as-a-service models, utilization expectations, and recommendations for program design. Responses may include supplementary information, and proprietary material should be clearly marked “privileged and confidential.” This RFI is for information-gathering only and will not result in a contract award.
