The Maryland Transit Administration is soliciting a contractor to replace existing transformers, automatic and manual transfer switches, switchboards, panelboards, wiring, and related power-distribution infrastructure in Train Control and Communication rooms at seven Metro stations and other transit facilities. The work includes site surveys, preliminary and final design reviews, field measurements, conductor and raceway sizing, breaker sizing, final design, demolition and disposal, and furnishing and installing all required materials and equipment. The scope also includes integrating new automatic transfer switches and existing manual tie switches with the transit authority’s Automatic Train Supervision System through existing station interfaces and programmable logic controllers. The contractor must provide labeling, commissioning, acceptance testing, on-site support, warranty, quality assurance and quality control, as-built drawings, manuals, training, spare parts, and final project documentation. The stated project cost class is $1,000,000 to $2,500,000.
