Description

Ada County Highway District is seeking proposals for approximately 22,700 tons of 3/8-inch chip seal aggregate for the FY28 chip seal season. The selected vendor must produce, test, and deliver all material by September 30, 2027, to the ACHD White Pit stockpile site at Amity and Pratt Lane in Meridian, Idaho. Deliveries are generally required Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the vendor must provide certified weighing, delivery tickets, daily tonnage reports, and daily quality-control testing results. The aggregate must satisfy specified Idaho public-works and AASHTO requirements for cleanliness, gradation, fractured faces, abrasion, soundness, stripping resistance, and plasticity. Proposals must include firm history and experience, at least three comparable projects completed within the past five years, references, qualifications, key personnel, project understanding and approach, a detailed production and delivery schedule, and other requested vendor information. The proposal is submitted electronically through the ACHD eProcurement Portal; no bid security is required at submission, although the successful bidder may later be required to furnish supply, material, payment, and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract value.
