Description
The Town of Jonesborough is soliciting sealed bids for labor, materials, and equipment to reconstruct approximately 535 linear feet of slope at 815 Shell Road, within the 900 block of West Main Street. The work includes grading the existing bank to a 2:1 slope; constructing grassed berms; installing approximately 40 linear feet of 15-inch HDPE drain tile; placing riprap; applying at least 3 inches of topsoil; and hydroseeding with tall fescue and creeping red fescue, with perennial rye grass permitted in the mix. The contractor is responsible for work-zone and traffic control as needed and must obtain the required grading permit at no charge. Bidders must state a proposed start date and completion timeframe, list any intended subcontractors, and provide at least three recent successfully completed similar projects with owner/customer contact information. Award consideration will include construction cost, relevant experience, workforce availability, projected completion, and prior customer satisfaction. The selected contractor must provide workers’ compensation coverage and at least $1 million in liability insurance naming the Town of Jonesborough as an additional insured. The bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “West Main Street Slope Project.”
