Description
The City of Lubbock seeks a qualified concessionaire to operate five concession stands as one coordinated program: four at Tom Martin Youth Sports Complex and one at Berl Huffman Athletic Complex. The contractor must provide reliable food and non-alcoholic beverage service during authorized league games, tournaments, and other scheduled activities; maintain appropriate staffing, inventory, equipment, sanitation, and management coverage; and keep required stands open from at least 30 minutes before the first scheduled game through the final game. Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, controlled substances, and glass-container beverages are prohibited. The contractor must furnish, install, maintain, and remove required equipment and supplies not provided by the City; obtain required permits, licenses, inspections, and food-safety approvals; provide a City-approved computerized point-of-sale system and merchant-processing account; maintain detailed transaction and operating records; and submit monthly reports. Proposal requirements include a compensation proposal meeting or exceeding the $108,000 minimum annual rent, a business and staffing plan, startup and continuity plans, menu and pricing information, recent financial statements, at least three client references for food and beverage services provided within the past three calendar years, equipment lists, and point-of-sale system information. The contract term is one year with four one-year extension options.
