Description
The City of Omaha is soliciting bids for the Papillion Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation project, including construction of storm sewer penetrations and rehabilitation of manholes and structures associated with a gravity interceptor sewer. The work includes excavation, temporary shoring and sheet piling, dewatering, sewer and storm bypass pumping, concrete and interceptor wall work, storm and sanitary sewer pipe installation, pavement and multi-use trail restoration, erosion control, wetlands seeding, temporary traffic control, environmental work, and levee pre- and post-construction surveys. The project includes nine schedules, A through I, and the City will not reduce the bid-item breakdown. Armorock polymer concrete manholes may be considered only after award through the contract substitution procedures. Bidders must submit an Economic Sustainability Plan, participation and compliance forms, responsible-contractor and employee-classification documentation, entity and subcontractor/supplier information, a Class A or B City of Bellevue, Nebraska general contractor's license, and a certificate of insurance. A bid bond or acceptable substitute equal to 5% of the total bid is required when the bid is $50,000 or more; a copy must be uploaded electronically and the original must be delivered to the City Clerk within seven calendar days after closing. The optional Apprenticeship Incentive Form is required only when the bidder claims the apprentice-utilization incentive. The anticipated notice-to-proceed date is December 1, 2026.
