Description
The Uptown Butte Business Improvement District seeks a contractor to clear sidewalks within its Central Business District, prioritizing designated sidewalks. Services must begin promptly after one inch of snowfall and continue as needed during prolonged weather events, with sidewalks targeted to be clear by 8:00 a.m. on business days. The contractor must remove snow piles or drifts obstructing pedestrian crossings, business entrances, or accessible paths, and provide all labor, equipment, and materials for snow removal and ice control. Staffing must support responses at night, on weekends, and on holidays, with storm response times and service completion communicated to the district. Proposals must describe the contractor's relevant experience, available equipment and staffing, expected response time, per-snowfall pricing, and at least two references from similar contracts. Adequate liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage are required, with proof provided before contract award. The anticipated contract is for the 2026-2027 winter season, with potential renewal; exact dates and terms will be negotiated with the selected contractor.
