Description
The State of Michigan is soliciting bids for a PCE-impacted soil removal action at a former dry-cleaning facility. The work includes mobilization and site safety, demolition and disposal of approximately 425 tons of concrete, excavation and off-site disposal of approximately 900 tons of tetrachloroethylene-impacted soil from the upper 3 to 8 feet, transportation to permitted disposal facilities, clean backfill placement and compaction, traffic and erosion control, and site restoration. Contractors must manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams separately and comply with applicable environmental, transportation, health, safety, and prevailing-wage requirements. The bid schedule includes mobilization, safety and security, hazardous and non-hazardous concrete removal, soil removal, backfill and compaction, site restoration, and a $30,000 contingency allowance. A 5% bid guarantee is required; performance and payment bonds are required for contracts over $50,000. The work must be completed by May 1, 2027, based on the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted electronically through SIGMA VSS, with no more than two attachments, each under 25 MB.
