Description
The Town of Cheshire is soliciting bids for replacement of the existing pavilion at Mixville Park. The work includes demolition and off-site disposal of the existing pavilion, foundations, asphalt pad, and adjacent sidewalks; construction and installation of a new pre-engineered 36-by-80-foot timber-column pavilion with asphalt-shingle roofing; reinforced concrete footings, slab, and sidewalks; associated electrical improvements; and restoration of disturbed areas with loam and seed. Two bid alternates cover additional concrete sidewalks and additional light poles, foundations, underground conduit and wiring, lighting fixtures, and related electrical work. The project requires compliance with Connecticut public-works requirements, prevailing-wage requirements, applicable STEAP funding requirements, insurance requirements, and state set-aside and contract-compliance requirements. The contract time is 150 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $2,500 per calendar day for late substantial completion. A 5% bid bond is required for contracts exceeding $50,000, and the successful bidder must provide full-amount performance and payment bonds. The bid package requires a completed Bid Form, Legal Status Disclosure Form, Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action Certification, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Statement of References, and Bidder's Contact Information.
