Description
The contractor will remove two existing underground fuel storage tanks and associated components, then furnish and install two aboveground tanks: a 4,000-gallon unleaded gasoline tank and a 2,000-gallon diesel tank. Work also includes reinforced concrete tank foundations and a dispensing island, protective bollards, fuel piping, electrical service, two dispensers, and an integrated fuel-management and automated tank-monitoring system. The contractor must provide temporary fuel tanks, transfer or dispose of remaining fuel, perform required environmental testing, and provide 70 compatible fuel access devices. The scope includes system testing and startup, operator training, equipment documentation, and a one-year warranty after startup or 18 months from installation, whichever occurs first. The project is a firm-fixed-price construction contract with a 305-calendar-day performance period from issuance of the notice to proceed. The solicitation calls for a bid guarantee of 20% of the bid price, capped at $3 million, and performance and payment bonds after award.
