Description
Dakota County is seeking a contractor to upgrade intrusion detection systems at seven county facilities. The work includes purchasing and installing specified Bosch, Resideo, and GRI panels, motion detectors, wireless interfaces, door contacts, keypads, input modules, panic transmitters, and sirens; replacing existing equipment on a one-for-one basis; programming new and retained panels; running or reusing cabling as appropriate; adjusting siren mounting backplates; removing and disposing of replaced equipment; pulling required permits; and testing device communication with the alarm monitoring company. The contractor must provide a detailed work plan and budget covering materials, professional fees, direct expenses, and contract labor. Proposals must include a transmittal letter, firm introduction, team organization, qualifications and experience demonstrating at least two similar projects completed within the last five years, work plan and budget, conflict-of-interest information, exceptions or deviations, and acknowledgment of the county's contract terms. Subcontractors may be used for work outside the contractor's scope, but the prime contractor remains responsible for all subcontracted work. The anticipated contract period is November 18, 2026, through October 29, 2027.
