Description
Winona State University is seeking a vendor to operate its physical and online bookstore for twelve months per year. The scope includes new and used textbooks, textbook rentals, digital textbooks, custom course packets and open-source textbooks, online ordering, direct shipping, faculty adoption support and training, buyback programs, inclusive/direct access services, merchandise and educational supplies, and integration with the University's bookstore loan and student-credit programs. The vendor must provide trained personnel, bookstore management, customer service, inventory and financial controls, pricing and commission proposals, data integration and reporting, D2L integration, PCI DSS compliance, information-security documentation, accessibility documentation including a VPAT, technical support, incident response, and business-continuity procedures. Proposals must address implementation and transition planning using April 1, 2027, as the anticipated contract start date, as well as affordability, staffing, operations, technology, reporting, supplier diversity, and value-added services. The existing store is in Kryzsko Commons, and historical gross bookstore sales were approximately $2.3 million annually from FY23 through FY25.
