Description
Olmsted County is soliciting bids to replace the original controls for an existing paralleling main switchboard while maintaining functionally similar operating modes. The work includes a new human-machine interface integrated with existing generator controls, programmable logic controllers, synchronizing and load-sharing controls, monitoring and alarm functions, power-management connectivity, control wiring, programming, and associated switchgear components. The contractor must provide engineering and shop drawings, product data, operation and maintenance information, factory acceptance testing, installation, temporary power support during outages, manufacturer field services, functional testing, commissioning, owner demonstration, and training. The specifications also address redundant controls, generator and utility breaker monitoring, cybersecurity-related connectivity, spare parts and cellular remote-operation alternates. A bid bond is required, and the response must be submitted through the procurement event by the stated deadline.
