Description
The City of Auburn is soliciting bids for construction of the Lake Wilmore Maintenance Barn at the Lake Wilmore Park Fields and Facilities. The work includes a gravel driveway from Grove Hill Road, curb and gutter, a gravel building pad, concrete slab, site grading and drainage, erosion and sediment controls, utilities, and a wood-framed pole-barn structure with prefabricated steel trusses. The approximately 1,946-square-foot building will include equipment storage areas, electrical and plumbing systems, lighting, doors, and related site improvements. Additive alternates include security cameras, increased domestic-water service, and swipe-card access. Addenda add or revise alternate bid items, update swipe-card specifications, provide pre-bid meeting notes and RFI responses, and require bidders to account for floodplain documentation, school-hour delivery restrictions, tournament scheduling, utility coordination, and potential rock excavation. The project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A bid guarantee of at least 5% of the bid amount, not exceeding $10,000, is required. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, contractor licensing, E-Verify documentation, insurance, permits, and other compliance documentation. Bids must include acknowledgment of the issued addenda and be submitted in a sealed envelope containing the original proposal and one copy. The bid opening has been moved to September 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the City Meeting Room at 122-B Tichenor Avenue.
