Description
The City of Auburn seeks a contractor to replace 30 vehicular detection systems throughout the city. The work includes removing existing detection equipment and furnishing and installing Miovision SmartView 360 camera systems, or approved equals, with universal mounts, height-extension brackets where needed, wiring, accessories, configuration, testing, and verification at the signal cabinet and the City’s Traffic Management Center. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, utility coordination, erosion and sedimentation controls, permits, and restoration necessary to complete the work. At least one traffic lane and pedestrian access must generally remain open, and existing equipment must be returned to the City. The project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed; a $2,550-per-day liquidated-damages provision applies for late completion. A proposal bond or certified/cashier’s check of at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, is required, along with performance and labor-and-material payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price.
