The Canada Border Services Agency requires a contractor to take over monitoring and maintenance of the existing intrusion alarm system. Work includes configuring and programming the existing security panel and monitoring station, testing alarm points and system components, verifying alarm signals, and providing a written report of test results. Maintenance is required as needed, and monthly alarm monitoring must be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week through an off-site central monitoring station with backup capability, access controls, and alarm-response procedures. The contractor may also need to provide system maintenance on site as needed. The work includes on-site configuration and testing and requires a Reliability security clearance; an escort is required on the premises during installation. The notice says the current solicitation is restricted to suppliers who responded to the earlier ACAN and attended the pre-solicitation site visit. The RFQ closing date is not provided in the notice; invited suppliers are directed to the solicitation documents sent by the contracting authority.
