Description
The City seeks a contractor to furnish and install a complete, operational fire alarm system for City Hall, the Police Department, and the Recreation Department. Work includes notification appliances, an addressable control panel and initiating devices, wiring, emergency backup power, HVAC and other building-system interfaces, and integration with the existing updated system. The system must communicate with Muskegon Central Dispatch and meet applicable codes and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements; the contractor must coordinate testing, inspection, and acceptance. The contractor must provide training, closeout documentation, a one-year warranty, and an itemized statement of anticipated annual operating costs, including licensing, cloud services, maintenance, monitoring, and support. The bid must be submitted as an invoice or official estimate using the provided cost breakdown, accompanied by proof of insurance and a W-9. A mandatory open house is scheduled for November 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.; bids are due November 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The solicitation requires a five-percent bid bond for contracts over $25,000, with other contract bonds required under the stated conditions and timing.
