Description
The University System of New Hampshire seeks qualified contractors to design, provide, install, test, and commission a replacement or upgrade for the campus fire alarm and security signal transmission infrastructure. The system must transmit fire alarm, supervisory, trouble, security, panic, and burglary signals from campus buildings to the dispatch center, comply with applicable NFPA 72 requirements, and provide continuous supervision, redundancy, and reliable signal transmission. Acceptable approaches include performance-based transmission technologies such as IP or cellular, one-way private radio, or a compliant combination. The scope includes transmitting equipment at protected premises, the communications infrastructure between those premises and the dispatch center, and receiving and alarm-processing equipment at the dispatch center. Proposals must describe the system design, signal handling, redundancy, implementation and phasing, continuity of service during migration, commissioning and acceptance testing, cybersecurity, warranty, and pricing. Respondents must also provide comparable project examples and references, relevant team qualifications, pricing for the full account migration and ongoing costs, and any proposed inclusions and exclusions. The existing system must remain operational for each account until its replacement has been migrated, tested, and accepted.
