Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Air Quality, is soliciting bids for electrical upgrades at an air monitoring station. The work includes replacing the existing electrical service; providing a 120/240 VAC, 100-amp, single-phase service; installing appropriately sized underground conduit and service wire; replacing the drop pole if needed; installing a metal-framed electrical kiosk with a locking breaker panel; providing outdoor GFI outlets on separate 20-amp circuits; installing grounding rods; connecting the station service entrance; and completing required inspections. The contractor must obtain required permits and inspections, comply with the National Electrical Code, local utility requirements, Pennsylvania One Call procedures, and erosion and sediment control practices, and restore disturbed areas. Bids will be awarded on a lump-sum basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the Commonwealth's procurement system and includes a Worker Protection and Investment Certification Form, federal requirements forms, and other attached bid documents. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation, general liability, and automotive liability coverage, with specified minimum limits for liability coverage.
