Description
The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide sign language interpreting services. These services are needed to ensure individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or DeafBlind have equal and meaningful access to state benefits, services, public meetings, and official activities. Services will be provided statewide and may include on-site, virtual, or remote interpretation. Vendors must ensure all interpreters are certified or registered with the Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) and adhere to the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) code of professional conduct. Services can be requested 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and may involve various settings including economic and employment services, prevention and protection services, and court-related services. The contract period is for five years from the date of award, through September 30, 2031.
