Description
Nassau County is soliciting bids for Contract No. T62250-07M, which will provide for the routine maintenance, modification, and support of the County's approximately 1600 traffic signals, 400 miscellaneous devices, and 600 street lighting devices and related equipment. All questions regarding this contract must be submitted via email to Harold Lutz at hlutz@nassaucountyny.gov by 4:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, 2026. Written interpretations of the contract documents will be provided in the form of written addenda. This contract is subject to Nassau County Local Laws regarding participation by Minority Group Members and Women, Service-Disabled Veterans, and requirements for participation in registered and approved apprenticeship training programs. Bidders must submit a Utilization Plan and demonstrate participation in appropriate apprenticeship programs. Contract Documents may be examined at the Permit Office of the Department of Public Works, 1194 Prospect Avenue, Westbury, Nassau County, New York, 11590-2723, from 9:00 AM on Friday, May 29th, 2026, until 3:45 PM on Friday, June 26th, 2026. Copies of the Bid Contract Documents can be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $300.00. A downloadable set of technical specifications is available on the County solicitation board at https://apex5.nassaucountyny.gov/ords/f?p=533:226. Vendors must be registered with Nassau County to download documents and submit bids. A Project Labor Agreement and MWBE Utilization Plan are required. The County has set an overall target of 15% MWBE and 2% SDVOB participation.
