Description
Nassau County is soliciting bids for Traffic Signal System Operations Phase VII (Contract No. T62000-25E, PIN 0761.70). This contract will provide field staff for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the County's on-street traffic signal communications and intelligent transportation systems equipment. A Notice to Proceed is anticipated in the first quarter of 2027. All questions regarding this contract must be submitted via email to Jeff Lindgren at jlindgren@nassaucountyny.gov by 4:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, 2026. Interpretations of contract documents will only be provided in writing via addenda. This project has federal funding and will be subject to federal reporting and NYSDOT record keeping requirements. Bidders must comply with Nassau County Local Laws regarding participation by Minority Group Members, Women, Service-Disabled Veterans, and approved apprenticeship training programs. A Utilization Plan and proof of participation in registered apprenticeship programs are required with the bid submission. Failure to comply may result in a non-responsive bid. Contract Documents can be examined and purchased from the Department of Public Works Permit Office in Westbury, NY. A downloadable set of technical specifications is also available on the County solicitation board. A non-refundable fee of $300.00 is required for purchased sets of Bid Contract Documents, with an additional $30.00 for mailed sets. Only documents purchased from the Permit Office will be accepted. Vendors must register with Nassau County to download documents and submit bids. Subcontractor lists and MWBE Utilization Plans are also required with the bid submission.
