Description
The Town of Hempstead is soliciting bids for the reconstruction of commuter parking fields WA-1 and WA-9 located in Levittown, New York. This project, designated as PW# 10-26 by the Department of Engineering, has an estimated project cost of $1,500,000.00. Bidders are required to submit a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Hempstead for at least 5% of the estimated bid amount. Minority owned, women owned, and disabled veteran owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. Additionally, for bids exceeding $250,000.00, bidders must have an approved Apprenticeship Program in place relevant to the scope of work, as per Chapter 3 of the Town of Hempstead Code. Failure to comply with the apprenticeship program requirement will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.
