Description
Travis County is soliciting formal bids for the Ben E. Fisher Park Redevelopment Project. The work includes site clearing, excavation, concrete pavement, curbs, sidewalks, drainage and rain-garden improvements, erosion and sediment controls, traffic handling, pavement markings, pedestrian railings, retaining and stone walls, landscaping, turf, trees, native seeding, irrigation, playground equipment and protective surfacing, shade structures, pavilions, basketball courts and equipment, site furnishings, a prefabricated restroom building, park signage, and site electrical and lighting systems. The project manual requires the contractor to furnish and install the specified improvements, coordinate utilities and inspections, maintain stormwater pollution controls, provide construction scheduling and progress reporting, and complete the work within 200 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation also requires a bid bond or certified/cashier's check of at least 5% of the total bid, with performance and payment bonds required after award when statutory thresholds apply. A 12.24% overall Historically Underutilized Business participation goal and related good-faith-effort requirements apply.
