Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Highways is soliciting proposals for a professional services contract to provide statewide permit inspection services. This is an as-needed contract for a period of two years, with a maximum upset limit of $2,000,000 per contract. No new work will be assigned after two years from the Notice to Proceed, though the contract may be extended for time to complete assigned work. The selected consultant will coordinate with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Maintenance to ensure the safety, quality, and installation of permitted utilities. Key responsibilities include coordinating with the Division of Maintenance for various transportation projects or encroachment permit projects, and performing inspection services as defined by the Division of Maintenance. Specific certifications required include Work Zone Traffic Control Supervisor and Work Zone Traffic Control Technician. Consultants must also be prequalified in Roadway Design (Rural and Urban), Surveying, and Utility Design (though the latter is not required initially).
