Description
Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District is soliciting construction bids for power reliability improvements at the Southwestern Gate Chamber. The work includes replacing feeder conductors from the Southwestern Pump Station, routing new conductors through existing duct-bank conduits, installing a NEMA 4X panelboard and separate power feeds for six gates and a mini-power center, and furnishing and installing a dedicated backup generator with an automatic transfer switch. The project also includes site civil and structural work, excavation, grading, site restoration, fencing, concrete generator pad and sidewalk construction, footers, duct-bank installation, utility locating, demolition of existing electrical components, startup and testing, and related general requirements. The engineer's construction cost estimate is $300,000 to $800,000. Bidders must meet a 35% certified Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal or document adequate good-faith efforts. The contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the installed work and complete substantial completion within 190 calendar days and final completion within 220 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
