Description
The City seeks a contractor to replace approximately 125 lead service lines, connecting from the water main or b-box to interior water meters. The work includes associated water service connections and installation, meter connections, internal plumbing fittings, water filters, and related appurtenant materials and work. The bid schedule also includes tree work, asbestos abatement, service abandonment, sewer repairs, traffic control, soil disposal, and restoration of sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and pavement. The project is subject to a 28% Business Enterprise Program participation goal, including specified minority-owned and women-owned/persons-with-disabilities-owned business participation goals, and Illinois Works apprenticeship requirements. Bidders must provide the requested experience information and recommendation letters, pricing, and required bidder certifications and supporting documentation. A 5% bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide a contract bond for the full contract amount. Work must be completed by September 3, 2027, with punch-list work completed by November 12, 2027.
