Description
Escambia County is soliciting bids for the Brickyard Road Drainage Improvement Project. This project aims to replace a 36-inch culvert pipe beneath Brickyard Road, near Barth Road, which was damaged during Hurricane Sally. The scope of work includes extending the new culvert pipe beyond its original footprint and outfall beneath adjacent CSX Railroad right-of-way. Additionally, the project entails reconstructing the roadway above the pipe, reinforcing the adjacent roadway shoulders, and installing a new headwall and rip rap at the outfall. This project is part of the long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Sally, supported by $113 million in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding allocated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Florida Department of Commerce. The project requires compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as well as adherence to prevailing wage rates as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
