Description
Escambia County, Florida is seeking bids for the delivery of various types of fuel, including gasoline, dyed diesel, and clear diesel. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and transportation of fuels from the terminal of embarkation to specified delivery sites within Escambia County. Deliveries are expected to be made on each weekday by noon (Central Time), with a 24-hour response time for standard deliveries. Under emergency declarations, deliveries will be as needed, and the contractor must maintain an office within 100 miles of Cantonment, Florida, capable of responding within three hours. The scope of work includes supplying and adding an antimicrobial diesel additive with every delivery of diesel fuel. Pricing should include this additive. Deliveries will be categorized as Tank Wagon or Transport Delivery, with specific requirements for each. The markup on fuel will be tied to the type of vehicle used for delivery, and the County will pay the actual supplier price plus the markup from the lowest available supplier. Pricing adjustments may be reviewed annually at the County's discretion. The contract term is for 36 months, with two additional 12-month renewal options, totaling a potential of 60 months.
