Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a Sources Sought/RFI for a projected five-year, firm-fixed-price teleradiology staffing contract based on FTE hours and per-procedure pricing. The contractor would provide licensed radiologists for STAT and routine interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, including plain film and digital radiography, CT and CT angiography, MRI/MR angiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine/PET-CT, mammography, cardiac imaging, and MR abdomen examinations. Coverage is required primarily during weekday overnight periods, weekends, and federal holidays, with additional coverage during regular business hours when feasible. The estimated annual system volume is approximately 40,380 STAT studies, although the Government does not guarantee minimum volume. Services include secure off-campus image interpretation, critical-finding communication, expedited stroke and intraoperative radiograph interpretation, diagnostic coding, quality assurance and peer review, monthly and quarterly performance reporting, provider consultation, credentialing support, and integration with VA systems including VistA Imaging, CPRS, Philips IntelliSpace PACS, Nuance PowerScribe, DICOM, HL7, VPN, and Business Partner Gateway connectivity. The contractor must provide qualified, credentialed radiologists, maintain at least two board-certified radiologists during peak periods, perform all services within the United States, meet specified turnaround-time and uptime standards, and provide required technology, security, staffing, and supervision. The RFI requests business information, a capability statement, FTE hours per scan type, radiologist hourly rates, and the estimated number of FTE teleradiologists available; responses will not result directly in a contract award.
